The motivation for the development of a control for turntables was the simpler operation and the exact positioning of the turntables that weigh up to 14 tons.

Normally up to eight aeroplanes or microlights are standing on one turntable.

In order to position the favoured aeroplane or the free place on the desired position in the middle of the gate of the hangar in former times the turntable had to be moved using two switches for left-hand motion and clockwise rotation.

This could last up to some minutes. Due to the coasting of the heavy turntable the aeroplane and/or the free space was usually not yet in the desired position. Repeated left and right movement was necessary.

Through the integration of our control unit, a resilient supported shaft encoder (gauging the covered distance; self-construction), two positioning photoelectric barries and of our operating control with smart card reader a conceivable high comfort was reached:

- insert smart card into the operating control and pull it out again

Further on the use of our operating control also allows at any time a manual moving of the turntable (Clockwise rotation, left-hand motion, fast, slow).
